Hey guys, I've been out of the loop for a while, would you mind clarifying on the steps to filing the n400? It's just the n400? I'm AR and signed in March 2016.

EDIT: Also, I just enrolled into Tricare, only thing I needed was my CAC. https://tricare.mil/TRS if anyone needs better health insurance, or currently don't have any through their employer.

Do you think AD will never ship to basic at this point?

If you have a CAC (which you should as an AR), you don't need an appointment. Walk in with the receipt and the military ID, and explain that as military service applicants don't need an appointment, though most ASC should know what's up by now with MAVNI's. You're gonna want to do this to shave off months waiting for the bio letter.

Hardest part is getting the n426 signed from your commander from the unit (mine was easy). You need to submit that along with the n400, read the pdf instructions for it just like you did for the DACA app, it's not too hard.

ARs got the best deal. its pretty awful to be AD at this point. At least for the ones that have turned in n-400 already you have a chance and you got something going or to look for in all this dark time. I keep hearing a lot of older mavni soldiers complain that AR get naturalized before bct and ait. Shit, Im just happy for you guys that this is possible. When I went through the program there was so pressure on each mavni during bct/ait. Especially for daca mavni, because this is the only one thing that we got going and failing pt, getting sick/injuries, or failing classes during training are not viable options for us.

I suck at running and I kid you not the last PT test before bct graduation(the one that really counts) I was picturing the blue US passport in front of me the entire time I was running.

We'll see how AR's end up in this, would've been nice not to have a DACA time limit but that's how it goes. There's actually a potential of getting naturalized and never even shipping because of their policies.. in which case honestly I would just join the coast guard reserves or something to keep good faith on my end.

You definitely should join the mavni legal group there are so much information you can read up to help filing the n400 and n426. Do some research on your own first and message me when you have some questions i'll be happy to answer.
