Yes I'm also frustrated at the delayed time line, but grow the hell up and stop throwing an emo fit over how the world works - really, no one gives a shit what you think of Obama, what's happening is the best we've got.

Hypothetically speaking, if DA was to be brought up as a stand alone and Obama signs it into law, say in December, I'm sure everyone in this thread who foul mouthed Obama will call him a savior - exactly the type of childish attitude that I, as well as so many others are sick of.

Personally, I'm going to hunker down and give it until early next year, and see how things move along. The Senate agenda is finite, and they can only bs so much before we get an idea on if it's worth waiting in 2010 or not.

If you're so unhappy with this, please just leave, instead of shouting out your delinquent thoughts that make this website look like it's full of middle school kids.
That's exactly why I haven't been posting either. This place has become to hostile to Obama. It's sad, really.

If anyone has a "I know all attitude" it's you. coming in here talking shit about who's right and who should shut up. Who are you to say people can't vent here because they're frustrated with the government. Being the president Obama, Bush, or JFK. Forums are made for people to discuss and even argue about ideas, not for someone to come in here and say we can't and to GTFO. Be serious dude, your post sounded more like a little kid talking then my 6 year old nephew.

P.s. This is the Dream act website not the I <3 Obama fan club... Even though I do like him alot.

Remember to have a plan B!
What is the plan "B"

Do graduates with engineering degrees have a chance emigrating to canada upon returning to native countries ?!. I am seriously considering that move but am totally helpless not knowing where to turn to.

What is the procedure if any.

I think plan B for everyone is different.....all depends on your situation I think. You can try to immigrate to canada based on scoring system but they've also altered some of their requirements so its not as straight forward as it used to be. You might want to check out their website for more info http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp
I know part of their requirements is based on their need for your profession.

Also, for some of the people who get annoyed by the fact that some people vent on here please be considerate and more empatethic. You dont know what kind of day that person has had and we all know what that can be like sometimes. If the post annoys you then simply IGNORE IT! I'm personally not one to vent online but this particular piece of information got me irked for a second so I said my piece. You might not like that but I might not like the language you use on here either but I dont call you names and attack you for it. For the record I am not an Obama hater but I voice an opinion if I feel its necessary. We all have a common goal so attacking one another is not the way to go ever. There are no children on here only young adults(different maturity levels) so lets communicate accordingly. My two cents......

I wish people would be more optimistic and quit blaming Obama. He was dealt the biggest mess this country has seen in decades.

I wanted him to pass something by the end of the year, but when you look at everything that he's dealing with now, you've got to be more realistic.

First, the economy tanked, now he's running into snags with health care and yet, immigration is still on the radar. No it's not going to be brought up the way some of us would like it or when some of us would like it, but it's coming.

I know I'd rather wait if it means that CIR & DA will pass for sure, then for them to rush a bill by the end of the year and it fail.

Very true. As much as I want it to pass this year so my dad won't have to leave the US for good after 13 years, I understand that some things come first (whether I like it or not).
I haven't given up yet. Obama is still busy working on healthcare, etc. It's not like he's sitting in the White House doing nothing. He did mention it and he still supports it.
It's taking forever, but we shouldn't have expected anything different, especially with the recession.

This is a forum for discussing the needs and rammifications to our lives, and by extension, to this country by the passage of the Dream Act. If it doesn't matter to you how soon they pass it; then you either must be very young or don't really care at this point to have your life on hold. And leaders must be held accountable for their integrity when they get votes based on a platform that now they say cannot support. This goes primarily for Congress, and secondly for the president.
