I feel the same exact way about the Puerto Ricans here in NYC that do support this law and hate me for having no papers... meanwhile they drop out of school, form all kinds of gangs and cause trouble...

kk, my experiences are irrelevant to what happens in the rest of the world, even if I were to save 20 African children by donating to some organization seen on TV the majority of those kids will die from AIDS, grow up to have children and see their children starve. I can't feel remorse for something I am not responsible for, sure some kid could have had 30% of my caloric intake for some day but, ok this is going nowhere. I am just waiting for a total war somewhere to see some drastic changes and mobilization of resources, it's imminent. Ah shit, I am too negative.

no, i do not think you are too negative... i just think that we all cause things to happen to other people. i caused some extra pollution down there in Brazil so my plastic computer could be made and all the parts that come with it... all people who have nothing to worry about; ignore it... until it comes and bites them in the ass.

I am not a saint, BUT i do believe that we all cause a circle to go around that creates a mess, wars and w/e else. this isn't for the people by the people at all... its about money and having the upper hand.

but anyways, this has gone too far... i wish people take our plea case by case, but it would never happen; we do belong in a certain group now...

the sheriff just got shot in Arizona, and oh man what they are saying...

I am actually a minimalist, I am studying a dual major of electrical and chemical engineering so I can participate in solving the energy problems of today and the future, I am an energy vampire killer, I don't have TVs, and have a diet low in meat. I hope to have gained your empathy lol. By the way, I enjoyed this talk.

US democracy has gone too far that there is no turning back. Yesterday Rachel Maddow was referring to 25 year old comments made by FAIR organization founder. Not that I'm defending him, but FAIR has some points that were discussed in this thread. Back in the days, he could say that there are people who just breed out of control and people who do not. Now, he is blamed for saying that and other things. Democracy and everything that comes with it prohibit one saying things like that. Seriously, if say I barely support myself, would I make 5 babies? I don't think so. I will create my foundation (buy place to live, not project or section 8, have some savings, have stable business) and then make a baby, maybe 2 if finances allow. But in US and I think in US only you get all kinds of government help for newborn. Baby grows up in the family that never worked, never saw another life, becomes a street trash, joins gangs, and so on. Just watch Gangland on History Channel to see them all in jail. No wonder that US jails hold over 2 million people.
I always wondered how and why people in poor countries have so many babies even though they barely can support themselves? And then you see ads on TV to send your donations to support kids in poor countries. Nobody helped me.

yea I agree completely... they do many kids for many reasons, the catholic church does not allow the use of birth control pills or condoms. Also allot of kids are made so they can work in the fields in the future. Jews have 7+ kids so they can end up collecting taxes and not paying back, also to be able to keep the wealth within inside the "family circle"... I would donate to those poor kids b/c they had no say in them being born or not.. that is why I support abortion being done before 3 months of pregnancy...

my mother always gives to the hungry kids out of compassion, there is no "nobody helped me" mentality, spending 2 dollars on something is like not driving a cup of coffee; I could live with that. If I or you had cancer, we would then BEG the doctors to find a cure, same as with the fight on AIDS.

So.. people until ur butt hurts; you will change the way you think about some things.

This is a bit of a generalization. First of all these are Orthodox Jews and another reason they have so many kids is same reason as Catholic church - they aren't allowed to use condoms or birth control. It is also considered a blessing for them to have as many kids as possible.
