Have you guys heard of MAVNI affecting DACA renewal btw? There seems to be a user that had his DACA renewal process terminated, while cooincidentally having applied for MAVNI?

What are your guys's renewal timelines with respect to your MAVNI process?

Mine expires in OCT of this year, and I'm expecting to start that 6-9 month basic training waiting period next week when I sign my contract--so I will definitely be needing to renew DACA while I'm in the middle of MAVNI processing.

Got a call about passing the OPI btw! They said the scores will come later.

As for any DACA/MANNI issues.. I mean there's a chance it could be affected, but worst case scenario there would be another EAD route for us similar to what lot of the F-1/h visa students are doing. Basically, once you sign the contract, you're in, whether you fall out of status or not after that date. Obviously we'd want to retain DACA until we're actually naturalized for work/income, etc.

If you look on the facebook MAVNI page, that's pretty much the forefront of all MAVNI related news, and I highly doubt this would go unnoticed.

IMO I think the two people on this site are isolated cases (I'm assuming they either just filed too early or left out a sig, etc.), until we see otherwise. I'm about to renew mine pretty soon so we'll see, probably will wait closer to the 120 mark instead of 150 days if they really are working out issues.

There is no correlation...it should all be cleared up by a few once they receive their receipts.

To those who are joining the army through MAVNI:

What MOS are you guys going in as?

OPI scheduled for first week of April, just studying and trying to make it through anxiety ridden sleepless nights right now If all goes well I'll sign the following week and can relax a bit.
