So, I was watching Morning Joe and Scarborough was tearing Kris Kobach a new one. He was saying there was no way Kobach was going to make it through a confirmation hearing if he was nominated for DHS secretary. He mentioned a few republican senators who would vote again him. He thinks trump is wasting political capital by nominating Kobach.

So is saying he will deport us. So let's stop doing that and say let's wait until January.

You can't not speculate. We are going to do it for at least the next few months. My point is that we don't know the risk (probability) of any one scenario playing out. If we knew all the inputs we would have a better idea of what kind of outcomes we can expect and their likelihood of happening. At this point we have some general knowledge of some of the possible outcomes, but we are not exactly sure what the probability of each one is. So we need new information to have a better understanding. Information from Trump, his picks, other lawmakers etc.

Long story short we have to wait and see. In the meantime we speculate and prepare. Preparing is always a positive. Speculating with incomplete information probably won't help much, but we cant't help doing git.
