lmfao Dude, I have been preaching cautious optimism all the time. I seriously doubt he can even deport a single dreamer unless there is a criminal antecedent or one lets himself be intimidated and signs. That is my opinion. If you consider it extreme, too bad. I put my hope into due process of law. So, keep calling me a troll or stupid. I don't really care.

Damn I envy the people getting renewals now. More time for them to "expire" lol. On the bright side, I don't think they can erase is so quickly. There might be some sort of other legislation for us. They can't rescind or cancel our social security cards or even our licenses. It's too much waste of resources. There is hope, I feel.

Be prepared to get devoured by the other camp.

I'm not worried about getting deported I'm worried about the cancellation of daca and all that entails.

They do not care about your financial responsibilities since you weren't suppose to be here in the first place. They want to create their own version of immigration reform. My guess is that they will allow undocumented immigrants to remain in the country without any status or any path to citizenship. But since that is the only thing most on here care about we'll continue to remain second class citizens. Hey, hopefully someone will have the foresight to include ALL immigrants who came as kids and not just a select few.

I disagree with you.

I think they do care, if they didn't Trump would of said already he is canceling and reporting all dacers.

I also disagree that there wouldn't be a path to citizenship. Trump doesn't want us as second class citizens. The Republicans need the Latino vote so they will try to legalize us in order to get our vote.

They did it with the Cubans.

Also, @ecl23 Marco Rubio is considered a white Hispanic.

This. However, I don't know if they will fully call for a path to citizenship. Maybe with the dreamers yes since we are a sympathetic bunch. However, I worry about older generations of immigrants that might get the short end of the stick. All that work and taxpayer contribution for those old racists.

I am glad the millennial generation is the most inclusive and socially aware this country has ever had.

I sincerely doubt that (if I am right that we do get legalized as citizens) any of us would vote Republican. I think most of us have left-center beliefs.

Trump lost millennials 55 to 37. This coupled with Clinton being unpopular with young people and those that were still bitter after the Bernie debacle. These numbers are disastrous for the GOP. It might not have affected them much this election but come 2018 and 2020 they will have serious problems if they don't move to the center.
