Behind every man is a heart. Trump, especially being from my city, New York City, understands the value that Dreamers have to this country. Putting them back into the shadows would be heartless, and simply a bad PR move.

He has a heart. Thank the lord for no Rubio or Cruz. Funny, both come from immigrant backgrounds as well.

DACA will continue.

The pressure is on Congress and us to act. So call your representatives! go out there at a grassroots level and spread your stories!

our journey goes forward.

I don't even think Trump knows how hard it is for people to come through the legal system. That's the reason people risk their lives.

tell me about it. my family has been waiting for about 4 years now since getting our I-140 appeal approved from the AAO for anyone at USCIS to actually look at our file.

Yeah, the system is broken altogether.

Man, now I can finally go to work in peace. I'll probably still look up any new info about DACA periodically from work. Hoping the updates will all be positive.

Also important happening today. Trump will meet with leaders of both senate and house.

This includes Pelosi, Schumer and Dick Durbin who I'm sure will bring this up. Hopefully there's even more updates soon

Also this via @LilySAxelrod. Obviously we need more details about what it means but:

One exec order today was federal hiring freeze. It's going to be hard to deport millions w/o more judges, deport officers, & ICE attorneys.

Immigration courts are so backlogged that some hearings are set for 2020 and 2021. Fed hiring freeze = ppl arrested now could out-wait Trump

If fed hiring freeze slows down immigration courts, ICE attorneys will have to close more low-priority cases, just like under Obama.
