For reference, Aug. 2015 ICE raid in LA detained 244 immigrants in 4-day sweep. This week ICE says 160 over 5-days via @aflores

Marin said the operation was similar to one ICE conducted in SoCal last year that resulted in 200 people being detained

This is true, tho.....august 2015 was not 2 weeks after Obama was inaugurated. We can't deny that optics wise Trump is itching more than most to round people up.

Here's my realistic and pessimistic two cents of this issue.

Some of you guys need to start becoming way more realistic. The truth is DACA will be most 99% likely to be repealed in favor of legislations like Bridge Act, Enlist Act, etc. which would ultimately fail because they would die in Congress and there will be a battle between the Democrats and the Republicans over them. The hard truth is there will be no amnesty not in this time frame, unfortunately, maybe in the next 2 decades. I can see the MAVINI program succeed only for a little bit, though, and you can always marry but do it legitimately.

Anyways, living as an undocument immigrant is not worth it. It's having your youth wasted and having to rely on two political parties who never get things done to decide your future. It will be a shit hole from here on and the USA won't be as friendly as it was before. If you're out of options, young and have a college degree, please consider moving to Europe or some first world country like Australia and Canada, at least you won't be treated as a second class citizen. The truth is you all deserve much better.

Trump can end DACA on day one or when he signed the EO to ban Muslims, the fact that it is still standing right now mean something. I wouldn't give up all hope just yet. There is no need to wait anymore since Sessions is already confirmed. The longer DACA stands, the better chance we have.

Dude you've been saying that every day for the past year and nothing has happened. Donald Trump was elected on 11/7/2016. You sound like a rusted old car on a cold winter morning.

A simple memo from DHS can end DACA. They're keeping DACA alive for some reason.
