People are so naive. He isn't ending DACA solely based on the goodness of his heart. It's because of the repercussions and the fact that plain out ending it and revoking people's EADs is a waste of time and money. They actually have debates on this and Bannon and Miller are urging him to end the program. The republicans don't wanna end it because of the uproar it would cause and it would end up being bad for them come election time. If anyone you should be thankful to is Priebus who was has been arguing in favor of not ending DACA.

There is a new report that Bannon doesn't care about DACA anymore because he believes the courts will take care of ending the program.

True.

States could launch a lawsuit against DACA and Justice Dept/Sessions don't show up to defend DACA.

But which state would be so nasty against DACA?

Judiciary is no big fan of Trump, remember that. Judges could throw that lawsuit like a piece of trash it is.

suing DACA is a non-starter already. the courts can't sue Obama, he's already out of office.

And by Trump keeping it place, DACA falls on his administration. What are they gonna do? sue Trump? Jeff Sessions of the DOJ gonna sue his own president? nah.

True.

Now it is Trump's DACA.

I wonder what exactly Bannon had in mind. He is no intellectual lightweight.

To a lot of DACA recipients on here who are not directly affected by the bad things that he's done to other immigrants, that qualifies him as a humanitarian.

Sure, he enacted an travel ban for 7 countries that turned those people's world upside down, but he didn't touch DACA so he must love us!

Sure, he removed all the priorities and protections of non-criminal aliens and now everybody who doesn't have DACA , including many dreamers are getting detained, but hey he didn't touch DACA! The man loves us! Good things are coming!

Sure, he keeps parading around victims of undocumented immigrants in order to lump everybody together and dehumanize us but brah, he didn't touch DACA so don't you dare disagree with him and ruin this for us! You're either with us or against us!

My god some of you are weak. Don't give him any credit until you see the actual bill. The best bet for a bill, if this isn't complete bullshit is after 2018. Then again who knows - if you guys are all of a sudden wearing "Make America Great Again" hats, then maybe congress won't change at all after 2018 or even get worse.

The courts? DACA was implemented in 2012 and it still hasn't been challenged because it is constitutional.

Even most of Republicans are OK with it.
