Trump has September 5 deadline to announce if he's going to end DACA or fight Republican state AGs suing to end DACA.

I can't imagine Trump fighting Republican state AGs to preserve DACA, so I would expect Trump to announce the cancellation of DACA and then ask the Congress to pass its replacement to pass the buck.

lmfao what if the opposite happens, and we end up getting relief?? lmfao

I say that all the people who doubt get a tattoo that says "Lord Trump" on their butt cheeks if Trump keeps DACA.

The most logical conclusion. Trump fighting the State AGs will piss off his base. If Trump cancels and bucks it to congress it forces the democrats to work with republicans.

My guess: DACA protections for border wall funding.

Or he could not comment on it and let it die, or watch it play out as Californias AG defends it.

You mean for keeping the status quo, which is supported, largely, by both parties .... that's a pretty low bar.

Nor does it matter if he does 'decide to keep' it - the question is whether or not he and his administration is willing to defend DACA - an executive policy they inherited - in the courts against Texas etc al on Sept 5.

So far, Kelly has indicted that they will not.

This is the most likely outcome.
Time will tell.

Yea, Trump would have overlooked DACA if it wasn't for the Republican State AG lawsuit.

But the Republican State AGs forced Trump's hand.

Someone else can defend it in court
