So this attempt to pass a clean DA is pretty much an ice breaker to start negotiations, I don't think they really believe nor should expect it to pass.

Which is mostly true, but I'm sure now both parties know the Dems will get their clean DA by December though.
Right now, their just putting on a fight to come out as our heroes and take all the credit.
Congress will never be bipartisan again, and anyone thinking they can pass a bipartisan compromise needs to look at the Republicans. They can't even pass something amongst themselves.
Honestly, it really does seem like their party went to complete shit. Trump woke up the crazies in their party. Ryan seems to be trying his best not to completely break with Trunp but he knows the damage that has already been done.

They can't even pass a budget without the helps of Democrats.

They couldn't even repeal Obamacare through reconciliation, which required no Democrat votes. You think they're going to pass tax reform with reconciliation? Or draft a budget that all republican factions agree to in order to pass tax reform?

Considering that the AnCaps (aka Freedom Caucus) aren't going to agree to any raise of the debt ceiling without serious cuts elsewhere, yeah any republican only budget is going nowhere.

I do hope that Pelosi and Schumer keep the pressure on, after years of dickless Reid leading the charge this is definitely a welcome change.

They only agreed to a continuing resolution on the last one because they knew it was going to be used to repeal Obamacare. Now, they need a budget they can campaign on.

Dems have huge leverage. I hope they use it and don't pussy out like this latest deal with Trump. They need to demand the Dream Act if the Republicans want their support on a budget deal.

Trump Admin is pretty much giving away the Dream Act here and UWD and Co' are busy blaming him for being a "racist" while Democraps and Repubes keep fighting against each other as usual. I'm done with this. Congress remains fucked up as usual. In the end the media will be the only winners. They continue to spread bullshit and fear amongst immigrants. Go ahead mods, delete this post as well because I dared to speak up against UWD. I'm still not giving them my money.

Can we stop with UWD stuff? Stop beating a dead horse. Focus! Call and write to Congress. Some of you are just as bad as they are.

Exactly. That's why I've been deleting the comments. Enough is enough. No one on this forum is asking anyone to donate to UWD. It's counter productive.

Let them be. Leave UWD alone.

Focus people!

Jose Vargas and those folks are fighting for us. Joy Reid devoted an hour last week on Daca. The least you can do is just ignore them - don't say anything if you have nothing nice to say.
