Cause I might have gotten it wrong, but when I read it, it kind of sounded like they'll give em the tax bill in exchange they get to to vote CR so they don't need democrats, or so I thought.. I'm really tired and can't even read.

Because with Freedom Caucus making a stink with the Tax bill they definitely won't vote for a continuing resolution on funding. Which basically means that any government funding bill either passes by the 8th, or we get a government shutdown.

What Republican leadership wants:
Tax Bill, no Dream Act, no Government Shutdown

However, these are their choices:
1) Tax bill, no Dream Act, with Government Shutdown
2) Tax bill, Dream Act, no Government Shutdown
3) No Tax Bill, No Dream Act, with Government Shutdown

Long term, the options with 'Government Shutdown' are not possible, which basically leaves you with option 2.

Is TSA government funded? This could fire back big-time if so.

Even if the government does shutdown, I have doubts as to how long the Democrats will keep posture until they finally relent. I somehow doubt they care that strongly about us, especially with Donald framing this as an issue of citizens vs illegals.

Yes, the options posted require ALL parties to hold their positions.
If Freedom Caucus gives in, it's up to Dem's to keep gov closed.
If 3 Sen give in, it's up to Dem's to keep gov closed.
If Freedom Caucus gives in AND nuclear option is used, we lose.
If Dem's give in we lose.

Why are you guys so worried about this? Dems have backed themselves in a corner on this one. They will get something for dreamers . It’s not your battle to be concerned about what people will think. Republicans would be blamed for this. Trump is not a popular president at all, only power he has is with his right wing base.

that makes sense. kind of.

I get you're trying to positive jaylove, but the concern people are having is understandable. Nothing is guaranteed.

It’s very hard to see what Republicans do now... I am starting to think that if this shit was to pass I think they would all just stfu and not say anything and just pass... with them all fighting like this makes me kind of worry.
