Talks between the leadership and Freedom Caucus have largely fallen apart, per mbrs of Freedom Caucus just now. But they are waiting to see if the Speaker blinks on their demands. @costareports

Even if Cornyn and McCarthy try and kick the can down the road they still have a shut down threat. There’s not much they can do. Unless Dems cave, this is looking good for us.

This is the group everyone has said will decide what deal, if any, will be reached.

LOL what?

This translates to:

"This is it. An agreement, if reached, will come out of this meeting. If it is not, then it will not be 'it'.

who is everyone?
and trump's buddies perdue, cotton and miller don't seem to be there, so it's likely they'll reject this if it's not good enough.
i'd rather them be there and be aware of a bill than to completely cockblock something they weren't aware of later on.

so many meetings. This should be like a jury duty where nobody leaves the room until we have a decision!

Look at who is in this group. Chief of Staff, WH Director of Legislative Affairs, DHS Secretary, and the number 2's from the house and the Senate from both parties. This is the group.
