now the thing would be what and how fast would they do something in 2019 if they get into majority power. they're gonna be focusing on impeachment.

Things we did not hear:

What is the schedule for negotiations on Dream Act in the next week and a half?

2/8 is too late to start - what exactly are people going to be protected without Dream Act??

All Dreamers included?

Who is responsible for delivering this? Should be Democratic leadership. My family are all citizens or residents. My senators will hear about this. Make sure yours do, too. Anyone can call on your behalf: your spouse, family, friends, employer, biss, teachers, neighbors, etc. Ask them to support you by calling on your behalf your congressional offices and tbag they demand to know what exactly they plan to do with 2.5 million people.

Also, we are all contributing taxpayers already. Guard your hard-earned money and if, if, you choose to donate, do not give to the usual, ineffective non-profit industrial complex.

Even the ACLU might lose my monthly donation. I rather support our effots and the health care of my family and patients by supporting progressive challengers to the status quo.

How bad are we fucked? Scale of Back to the Shadows to Deportation.

Schumer is weak shit. All he cares about is his leadership position and wants to sit there like a fucking New York Cronie..Like his buddy Trump

We don't really know anything yet so let's stop thinking negatively. We'll just have to wait and see

It is but.... If you're an old dreamer like me you would notice that Dreamers/DA were not really paid attention to or had that much support till the last few months. We might not all get covered but something will pass soon

Also did anyone get the feeling that Schumer would love for it to drag into the midterms elections just so they can get a chance at winning the House and the Senate? It seemed like his motto was "look we're not in charge, but if you vote for us in the midterms we will look out for you."

I know some of y’all are politically active, but all these negative people, can I ask an honest question? What are you doing to change the status quo? Are you calling your congressmen? Are you calling your senators? Are you drumming up support by having your friends and family call their congressmen? Are you doing anything more than speculating and bitching on the internet? Are you gonna do something to make a difference?

It should go without saying, but this is alll rhetorical.

That is the end goal for any minority leader realistically. However, the prospect a mass removal of dreamers is needed as simply an optive to get the other side to work on legislation is an absolute non-starter. Only thing that can be done is renew and keep pressing on the both sides to come up with a solution as applications for DACA are processed.
