i love durbin and i appreciate his efforts. But let’s be real, so far under this administration, his efforts has brought us no results and the democrats lost all leverage during the shutdown. The president already said he’s willing to compromise. Please stop trying to negotiate through the media, that’s not how to get things done. Democrats need to realize that either they compromise or them too will feel the consequences come 2018. I appreciate what durbin has done. But the democratic party needs to stop treating us like fools. We are no longer going to be the forgotten. There’s a reason why it’s called bipartisanship. Because neither side is going to get everything they want, there has to be some middle ground. Democrats need to get it together and drop their liberal demands.

Anyone that believes in a clean Dream Act might as well self deport or simply don’t apply if anything passes. No we are not selling our parents out. We all knew that these negotiations were not going to be easy. No one gets everything they want during negotiations. Most dreamers have already spoken to their parents and gotten their blessings. Obviously in a perfect world we want them to be legalized as well, but that’s not going to happen right now. Either we compromise or we get deported, is that simple.

Durbin's bill was also a ransom note. It has concessions. Durbin is playing politics.
