If you enjoy what you're currently doing then that's great. Get a easy degree and be done with it. If you don't, then think of this as a opportunity to start fresh with a brand new career. Just remember everyone has living expenses. Keep hustling.

What does reallocating visas to backlog mean?

There are a limited number of visas available every year, so there is a wait line. The visas being reallocated will go to those people

I am thinking the same, but we have to see what is in the details. As long as it doesn't bar any of our parents from becoming legalized via another route (USC spouse, USC child, etc) then this is okay.
