Just because 5 of them are conservatives, doesnt mean they will vote in favor of that racist administration.

Right now , nothing for dreamers looks like it will pass and people are arguing about parents .

Quote:
The Trump administration also rushed to douse cold water on the bipartisan effort.

“It will never get a vote in the House, it will lead to the legalization of not 2 million but ultimately almost 10 million (via chain migration),” a senior administration official said of the moderates' plan. “It’s a proposal going nowhere fast. It’s not even Schumer 2.0 — it’s Schumer 1.0.”

Those developments came as McConnell and Schumer set up the first amendment votes on immigration Wednesday morning and as Republicans lined up behind Trump. McConnell criticized Democrats for trying to find something better.

“No matter how long they spend in closed-door negotiations, they can’t change the fact that the president has spelled out a fair and generous framework that will be necessary to earn his signature,” McConnell said of Democrats. “These guys can’t take yes for an answer.”

EXACTLY!

lmao

It's just baffling and amusing that everyone is crying and wanting MORE when we're about to get absolutely nothing. I hope everyone has their renewals in because it is not looking like anyone is getting anything else and I hope everyone who argued about parents are pleased with themselves.

Coming into this administration, every dreamer knew our backs were going to be against the wall. Every Dreamer was begging to at least let our permits expire rather than to end them right away. We got more than that, some got an extension through this administration, something we never thought it would happen and some got an extension through an order of a judge.

When he took over the White House, every one was scared, no one ever knew that Trump would at least give us an opportunity to get citizenship, and now that time has come, Dreamers decided to get picky like if we ever had a choice.

No perfect bill was ever going to come out of this administration, yes we all knew that they were not acting in good faith because they wanted something in return, but at least we were getting something we all have been begging for, and that’s an opportunity, and sadly that is all fading away.

Downside? None.

Are you sure about this?

I though they were creating a new 5 year visa for parent but because is a visa and not immediate relative petition, they will be required to apply from their home country triggering the 10 year ban

Personally I think Grassley's bill is not bad at all. Sure, part of it I don't like but everyone gets something. We are simply not in the position to negotiate more than that, thanks to Fhuck Schumer.
