There will be no veto from congress. RPs will not abandon Trump.

Trump will not sign it without border wall funding.
I think this is trumps strategy.
Right now he wants his funding for the wall in exchange for asylum reform and tps.
Then scotus daca for cutting legal immigration

Yeah, honestly the shutdown looks like it'll go on for at least another day or two.

At least leaders in congress will meet tomorrow.

What do you mean asylum reform? Democrats don't want to change asylum laws, it's the republicans that do because they want less people to apply for it.

That just leaves TPS, you think democrats will give him full wall funding just for TPS?

You are right about him caving, caving to those who say get more money for more wall. Now instead of 5.7 Billion he went up to 10 Billion. Woops sure caved.

Trump did not declare a national emergency, which he previously suggested he had the authority to do to build the wall.

Schumer also said something along the lines of America should not be remembered for the wall but for the statue of liberty.

Statue of liberty usually refers to refugees / immigration in general so I think the immigration topic is on the dems' minds.

I read somewhere I think I posted it too. Where republicans asked for the 5.8 billion plus another 5 billion for other things in exchange for asylum and tps.

They are trying to sweeten the deal like last time for chip.

But I think trump would accept daca for everything he is along for. The problem is miller wants to wait for scotus
