since you asked so nicely, i'll explain. trump's voting base was built on a rally against the uniparty. immigration, the economy for flyover states, and as a pushback against the increasingly neo-liberal US. did you see the crowdfund for his wall? there are groups of people in that voting base that are committed to his cult of personality. we aren't going to go back to the days of someone like mccain, jeb, rubio, etc as presidential candidates. people just won't take them seriously anymore. and when dems are running people like kamala (literally just black hilary), warren, booker, etc, who don't have the connection with your average person in the US(like bernie did, and tulsi does now), they lose their advantage against whoever the republican candidate would be, that will just follow trump's example of tapping into issues that rile people up.

any generic democrat will win in 2020 as long as they dont make the mistake Hillary did, go to the rust belt states of WI, MI, MN, OH and PA.

its simple, u dont need to dig deeper on that shit. u just gotta connect with blue collar workers in that part of the country.

You may be basing a sizable portion on your argument on Trump winning in 2016. It should be mentioned, however, that Hillary was the worst possible candidate to up against him.

Yeah, I really don't think Trump will be re-elected after this shutdown, especially if he does not get any wall money .

Beto, Harris, and Gabbard are my picks in that order.

I want an experienced politician. My dream team would be Biden with Beto as a running mate. No way Trump wins PA, MI, etc with that combo.

Check D column. 55 votes, (60 needed)
4 NO, 1 OTHER (did not vote Manchin)

Never forget. Why did Obama and Reid not whip the votes? Answer: They wanted it to fail/did not want to spend the political capital.

Funny, 0 defectors for that bill. Check top 5 insurance companies net worth in 2009 and check them now. They doubled profits. Check the top DNC donators.
