Well received this email today from ELIS

Thank you for your inquiry dated September 13, 2016.
Our system shows that your DACA package was approved on August 26, 2016. Your Employment Authorization Document (EAD) is in production. Your EAD and approval notice will be mailed to the address on file once the card is produced. If you do not receive the card or approval notice within 60 days from the date of this notice, please submit another inquiry to the USCIS Customer Contact Center.

So hopefully it comes in the mail soon.
DACA Approval was 08/25/16

Go here and enter your zip code to find your representative: http://www.house.gov/representatives/find/

Go here to find your senator by state: http://www.senate.gov/senators/contact/

You can contact either your representative or senator, but be sure to call their local office and not their offices in Washington DC. Call them and ask to speak with someone to help with my immigration related issue: DACA renewal (when you call they will ask for your zip code to make sure you get the right office). In most cases after you speak with them they will send you a Privacy Act release form or tell you how to get it from their website. I suggest type up a short letter and give them a copy of your receipt notices. I hope this helps. Best of luck!

My EAD expired on 9/4 and I still didn't hear back from USCIS. I did everything I can think of (expediting case through USCIS, Ombudsman office, NILC, reaching out to Congressman office), but still to no avail.

I did just realize that the receipt number I put down on the biometrics form is off by a digit, but not sure if that was material.

Also, I will be traveling by plane next week and I'm not sure if this is doable given that my state ID has expired. I called the airlines and they told me that I can get by TSA if I show my SS card and another non-expired ID with my photo (college card/work badge). However, deep down, I'm still a bit hesitant because I'm flying from coast to coast and if they reject me, I might have to take a bus back .

Any advice?

Do you have a passport? That could be an option. This ordeal has been a pain. My drivers license expired on 9/4, so no driving long distance for me. Luckily, when I got my first ID back 2012, they gave it to me for 5 years, so it doesn't expire until my birthday 2018.

I've flown over 20 times in the past 2 years with my unexpired ID alone or unexpired foreign passport, but in your case I wouldn't risk it honestly. I'm guessing you don't have a passport since you didn't mention it, and I highly doubt they would let you in with an expired ID. The SS card also says "Only valid with DHS permit" so they might ask for that, but it's expired.

Check this out and see if you have anything else that might work: https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-...identification

Let us know how it goes if you do choose to fly. Good luck!
