I saw a news piece on daca delays (univision) last night... uscis is claiming it's only affecting less than 1% of applicants... I call that bull..
I'm in the process of moving and pretty much life is so much harder with no ead nor license.

Has anyone read this article?

What do you think with what USCIS has said?

The excel data sheet is showing about 40% of the applicants expired during their application period, including both approved and pending applications.

Could be that we are just the vocal minority, but 1% is still a ridiculous number to throw out.

Reading the response section on that article makes me heated.

It's just ignorant people, let them step in our shoes and see how we feel, but luckily for them they don't have to

True! Sounds like some of them are having trouble finding jobs and aimed some of those frustrations to us. Really hope things work out for all peoples, but each has their own problems I guess.

I'm pretty skeptical about the 1% as well. I don't know what's more upsetting, the fact that they might be lying, or that if it's truly just 1%, they're processing other applications on time, while some poor souls on this board have been waiting since the spring. I wouldn't think it would be that hard to fix an issue that only affected 1% of applicants.

I applied in June, so I'm not surprised I'm not approved yet. However, I am only a month away from expiring and still pretty worried about not being able to work.

It's their ignorance talking. I went through the legal immigration system and it was hell. I shall never wish that mental and emotional torture on anyone. Like most Trump supporters, it's their ignorance talking. The notion of educating yourself on an issue before you hold an opinion has become ancient history in this country.

March on dreamers. The core of this country is with you. Don't worry about the surface scum.

Yeah I'm on the same boat as you, stressing it and trying to figure out what to do if this happens
