Some people get their GC interview before their EAD is approved, with USCIS it's a crapshoot. For the most part, you should expect your EAD approval a month or so after bios. Please note that EAD can be expedited for category c9 (AOS) unlike with our DACA one.

AP = advance parole

With advance parole you can travel outside the country and clear your EWI on the way back because you go trough an inspection at customs. Once paroled, you can file for AOS. This avoids going the hardship waiver route. To be granted AP, however, you need to fall under one of their three categories. I suggest you look into it if you have no prior removal order with immigration.

I got my combo card EAD/ AP ( advance parole) 3 weeks after my biometrics. You should get your EAD in a month or 2, it's a quick process. The interview takes a while for them to schedule but for some people they get their green card if they get scheduled right away. Good luck! Keep us updated

I have a question.

posted on a thread as I began to freak the fuck out.

I came to the US for the first in Jan 2001 through a port of entry with a B2, overstayed, stayed here for more than a year and...

went back to my home country because my parents are crazy...

later they realized the fucked up and we came back in Jan 2003, still with the same B2 visa and were inspected again. I have the I-94 from my latest entry but not the first time.

I was wondering if I will have any trouble when attempting to AOS.

I am I permanently banned from the U.S? Even though I was a minor?

I imagine some people might have the same situation.

Question for those of you going thru this process. I just received 3 emails from USCIS regarding my AOS with 3 receipt numbers, for I-485, I-765 and I-131. Is there a way for me to link this case to my ELIS account? When I log in to ELIS all I see is the DACA case currently under renewal.

I don't see why you would have an issue if you were inspected again. Was the b-2 visitors expired when you came back?

You need to consult with an attorney.
