Poll demographics and sampling techniques are always going to be up for a debate, in the end, it's just a poll, not armageddon.

That being said, we should chill out on this whole White House hearing, it's not like it'll be a turning point where Dream's fate will depend on that particular date.

I am discouraged too on getting bumped 3+ times, but it's just a single aspect of the big picture... I wouldn't be surprised when the hearing finally takes place, people here will moan and bitch once again that he did not mention Dream Act enough times, and be let down again from their own ridiculous, high expectations.

All we can do is that hope Durbin / Reid will fit Dream into the schedule one way or the other, either stand alone or more likely in an appropriation, with or without CIR depending on what happens this year.

Yes, but when at least 4 consecutive, independent polls show the same findings, it's pretty safe to assume the results are accurate.

I totally agree with you, though. People need to develop a thicker skin.

Don't be too pessimistic.

I'm a very pessimistic person, but you guys are way too pessimistic.
Don't draw a conclusion this early.

It's true that there are many factors that will make it difficult to discuss and pass the CIR this year, but we still have a lot of time.

I don't know the reason why the White House postponed the meeting again, but I'm guessing it wants to focus on getting more support for the health care bill from the public and the Senate.

Time will tell...
Just hope the health care and energy bills to pass the Congress earlier and the economy to rebound faster... The economy is showing signs of hope although the unemployment rate is still very dismal.

Also, I don't think arguing here will help us in any way. We should respect each other's opinion, but arguing and saying, "You are wrong. I'm right" isn't really helpful.

yeah...Sotomayor will be the thanks to the Hispanics from Obama....Most Puerto Ricans can give a f&*& about illegals..next year will be midterm elections and many people are already regretting voting for Obama...

millions of US Citizens are out of work and like somebody else here said...they don't support CIR. Hell even illegals here in Texas are complaining about other illegals that are coming from other states to work here!

obama is too concerned with his popularity ratings and busy doing interview gigs with brian williams and david lettermans instead of pulling up his sleeves and getting actual work done.

he needs to stop with babbling about the "audacity of hope" and conjure up some of his own audacity to push his agenda.

too much talking, not enough walking.

this isnt what america voted for, mr. president. we want to see you get work done, not see you eat cheeseburgers with biden and going out on dates with your sweet wife.

at least bush had the audacity to fuck with the whole world and push for preemptive war, however unpopular that may have turned out. you can at least show you have the audacity to hold one fuckin meeting on time.

I guess with this all of those "Obama fans" got a reality check. He is just another politician...nothing more, nothing less.

I bet some of you don't find him so "cute and charming" after this, eh?

"Change", my ass. He is not going to do anything different. He is just going to play the same old "political game" where everything means something else or "he is just waiting for x, y, or z to do a, b, or c"

Remember what I said about him just saying "everything everyone wanted to hear to get elected"?

I was for McCain not because I liked him, it was because I really didn't, and still don't trust Obama. I would rather vote for a guy that straight out tells me he is bad with the economy, than with a guy that promises things I know he won't be able to deliver.

PS.
