The bill is the Republican position. 10 years under a one-strike visa, get a degree or join the Army and get a green card. It would fly cause you can sell it to Trumpsters as people "who love America"

UWD doesn't like it because it would be legalization for Dreamers and not everybody.

I guess some important parts

Quote:
CONVICTION.—The term ‘‘conviction’’ does
6 not include an adjudication or judgement of guilt
7 that has been dismissed, expunged, deferred, an8
nulled, invalidated, withheld, or vacated, an order of
9 probation without entry of judgement, or any similar
10 disposition. Section 101(a)(4(B) of the Immigra11
tion and Nationality Act shall not apply for purposes
12 of this Act.

wait...

a) SPECIAL RULE FOR CERTAIN LONG-TERM RESI7
DENTS WHO ENTERED THE UNITED STATES AS CHIL8
DREN.—

Quote:
(C) the alien, if the alien is 18 years of age
2 or older—
3 (i) has earned a high school diploma,
4 a commensurate alternative award from a
5 public or private high school or secondary
6 school, obtained a general education devel7
opment certificate recognized under State
8 law, or a high school equivalency diploma
9 in the United States;
10 (ii) the alien has been admitted to an
11 institution of higher education in the
12 United States; or
13 (iii) the alien has a valid work author14

ization;
ah wow.... so it would make it easier for DACers?!

(5) BACKGROUND CHECKS.—

Basically the same requirement DACA has

Quote:
(7) MILITARY SELECTIVE SERVICE.—An alien
16 applying for relief available under this subsection
17 shall establish that the alien has registered under
18 the Military Selective Service Act (50 U.S.C. App.
19 451 et seq.), if the alien is subject to such registra20
tion under that Act.
21

whoooaaa

Hope all males here under 26 are registered with the ss

What if you already have a 4 year degree?
I don't see anywhere on the bill that states anything about disqualifying overstays.

RACA Will be easier for DACAers to apply since we all have a valid work permit.

can people with Final order qualify?

the alien has never been under a final
2 administrative or judicial order of exclusion, de-
3 portation, or removal, unless the alien—
4 (i) has remained in the United States
5 under color of law after such order was
6 issued; or
7 (ii) received the order before attaining
8 the age of 18 years.

I am just getting over this. And now I live in Patriots country, so you can imagine what I heard about that.

This would be much better than BRIDGE Act and if the age cap remains absent, then we're golden since it would maximize the number of DREAMers covered.

OP, I edited the first post to include a link to the bill.

Where do you see it says that? I don't see anything about not including overstays.

I don't see it either in the actual text of the bill.
