I am with Libertarian. We still have a good shot. But, if we want anything passed, Democrats really have to stand their ground. If not, the only way of getting something passed next year will be to give the GOP pretty much everything it wants on border security--that's even if the GOP wants to address the issue. They can just continue to kick the can down the road next year. What leverage will Democrats have? Zero. Democrats' only leverage this end of the year is holding the GOP hostage on spending.

If the Democrats do not stand their ground, well I will leave it to all of you to generate their own conclusions. I know they want to help us, but they will be screwing us over too by not standing their ground.

as for chip, aca payments at the time the first extension was made, chip wasnt expired yet and aca payments were still being made.

all those issues are usually dealt with in a year end spending bill.

and for them passing the tax bill, they did that via reconciliation so they only needed a simple majority.

Funny how people find excuses for Democrats fumbling on Daca three months ago.

A huge disservice of a tax burden bill just passed the Senate against public support.

My point us Democrats are crap strategists because they keep the same poor leadership in place year after year and sabotage progressives.
Republicans have turned over leadership every election cycle and that is what has allowed them to pass their agenda.

u didnt answer my question, how do u think the dems can muster up 200 votes in the span of 48 hrs as u said on Sept 5th when the first extension of the spending bill was agreed to? they have to convince Republicans and the public that DACA is good policy.

tell me how wouldve they included DA in the first extension?

the tax bill passed bcuz of reconciliation despite it being unpopular to the public.
