Same "legal" category different situation. At the end of the day I don't want the TPS issue to complicate our issue and make the Dream Act harder to pass.

I'm trying to be practical here and you're just trying reach the moral high ground.

Be practical, limit any DACA deal to 7 yr or younger, any older weren't kids! They have to go back! /s

What part of I don't want TPS to be lumped with DA don't you understand? Just like I don't want CIR to be lumped with DA. Does that mean I'm against CIR? Absolutely not.

What I want to see is a DA passed this month

What part of I don't want DA lumped with DACA don't you understand? Only current DACA recipients DESERVE relief! If you are expired or aged out, it's too bad! /s

If Dream act does pass and it only covers DACA recipients that's great I'm really happy for you guys. Just annoying seeing people talk negatively about tps holders and vice versa.

Quite different in population... cherry picking doesn't help
Majority of Daca applicants were quite young.

It's a difficult situation.

Looking at the numbers in the pictures above, it looks like 20-30% of TPS holders arrived 15 or less years. That's compared to 80%+ for DACA recipients who arrived in the same age category.

I see how it's possible to argue that TPS should also fall under DACA. But there's a significant disparity in the percentages above.

I've said this a few times, but at this point I'd be grateful for BRIDGE Act in exchange for border security. I can't underestimate the obstruction level of this administration and this Republican Congress.

Edit: I understand though that Democrats must start with the clean DREAM Act offer, so that they have some wiggle room.
