Everyone here seems to have a decent grasp of English and a lot of people have college degrees and work experience. I'm pretty sure that's sufficient to qualify under the point system for permanent residency in Canada. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Just because a Bridge Act in enacted doesn't mean you need to stay here and cannot invest in a life elsewhere. You can leave at any time and go to Canada or wherever. As a person who has built a life here, I would prefer a Bridge over nothing. It would allow me to keep working for 3 more years. But a GC would obviously be way better, but it doesn't matter what we want. It's upto Congress and the orange asshole. But I do think that if we get the Bridge Act, that no concessions should be made to the outrageous Republican demands.

nobody on here is considering the Bridge Act, you morons.

wtf?, u act like we have a choice on what kind of bill will pass. is this a buffet?

if thats the worst case scenario ill take bridge act 3 years (w/ no travel restrictions) to stack $$$ then retire in a 3rd world country after those 3 years. that would be 2021 where a new president will probably take over, which opens up possibilities again.
