Dems can easily offer him much more but they really want best of both worlds: a daca deal on their terms + concede no trump victory ahead of 2018 elections.
"Sources said Schumer didn't reject the $20 billion figure for the wall, either. Congress generally funds the government one year at a time, but under the deal that was discussed, a fund would be set up to make money available for the border wall's construction over the next several years."

I understand what you guys are saying but you need to realize the hardliners are sticking by the dhs list that had $18 b as the number. No matter what the guy demands, the people that created the list will not back down until that number is reached.

It was always so idiotic to oppose the wall to begin with

Bunch of symbolic bricks on the border

DONNELLY says he and other Democrats met with Schumer this morning, urged him to move toward reopening the government and discussed various related issues @Costareports

Centrist Democrats about to throw us under the bus?

Well we always knew we were going to give something in return, so Schumer putting the wall on the table isn't exactly breaking news, it's just one step closer to compromising.

The problem is that the Republicans do NOT want to compromise and that's why we're in the mess were in right now.

Hmm, some progress? Short says on @MeetThePress that the administration is willing to expand legal protections to a universe beyond just current DACA recipients

This is the most idiotic piece of bullshit, lazy journalism I have read in the last 6 months.

"White House open to negotiating Dreamers..." well what else have we been talking about since September? A new trip to the moon? If you meet to negotiate Dream Act, then clearly we are discussing dreamers.

So many mixed messages. I just hope Dems don't cave b4 Trump's SOTU, he'll be under immense pressure to make a deal b4 then so he can say he is the ultimate deal maker and all that bs.
