They bend the knee to Mith for a promise. Shutdown the government over nothing.

it's a BS plan... if Ryan and the WH won't go along with it, a vote in the Senate is meaningless even if they pass it.

Rep. John Yarmuth, a Democrat from Kentucky, said he’s heard that Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin has agreed to back a plan to extend a funding bill for three weeks.

“He's been driving the train on the Dreamer issue, the DACA issue,” Yarmuth said. “And I think if he said he was willing to trust Mitch McConnell for those 17 days, then I think a lot of the members of the Democratic caucus would go along with him.”

Durbin, a Democrat from Illinois, and Sen. Lindsey Graham, a Republican from South Carolina, have been working on a bipartisan proposal for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

The largest point of contention between political parties that led to the government shutdown on Friday night was immigration policy -- including the funding for a proposed border wall and the future of DACA, which has protected undocumented immigrants brought to the United States as children from deportation.

I can’t blame the democrats for folding, but trusting McConnell is not a good idea. He won’t follow through.
