Bro,

It will not do us any good to sit around crying or bitching about what he said.

So, he is talking shit about the Dreamer label . . . AND?? Well, does the mean we say fuck him and start making other plans? Or, do we focus on reaching a deal?

This isn't about feelings.

Why is anyone surprised about this? Quite frankly all that matters is a solution!

Smooth I think you have more sense than most here, you know better than to let Trump's rhetoric sway you. Or better yet, the people in this forum's rhetoric. So take your own advice and dont let all the bullshit these people are saying get to you.

I'm mocking these fools for doing just that. Everyday talking about the same shit. One day praising Trump, the next one hating him. Swim was right we're talking about the same crap in every post now. Because there's really nothing left for us to do but speculate.

But there's nothing to speculate. The plan is there. They are getting what they want whether we like it or not. This whole "deal" with democrats is bullshit. The Dems are in on it. All we can do now is stay safe and not get caught by their attempt to diminish our numbers.

We'll I think this particular case is interesting, because he's clearly keeping the hate alive on his side. While the media and liberals are trying their best to humanize our cause. When even Jimmy Kimmel is fighting for us, you know we're on the front stage. So its weird to watch Trump and GOP try to keep the country divided.

It all really doesnt make sense to me as a conspiracy theorist lol. Its so hard to understand what theyre going for here. I mean yea they are going to deport more and more people before they give amnesty. But why make America sympathize with us if they dont plan to give us relief?

Mind you, the media is only talking about us because the government is allowing it dude. because they want us to be front stage right now. Back in DA days when 1 million people marched, we got 2 mins tops on a quick regional news broadcast. You would think the media would cover that shit right, a million people marching just like the civil rights movement. but nope. So there has to be a reason why we're getting attention now.

Idk.. only thing I know is that people like Smooth, Swim and myself are right when we say quit fukin worrying about it. We're either getting deported or getting relief or going back to the shadows after its all over.

lets call ourselves.... the muthafuckas!!! yeaaah

lol but on a more serious note how about "adults brought here as children who have been stuck in limbo due to our broken immigration system."

maybe then there wont be anymore cringy moments where some "dreamer" gets up on stage all teary eyed "senor trump broke my dreams! i'm no longer a dreamer! i cant dream anymore!"

i mean how many times have you gone up to someone and been hell yeah man i'm a DREAMER ahhh i dream so much! man... so many dreams, you dont even know.

dreamers when refering to children doesnt sound so bad; "The Dream Act" was a good name but i'm not some starry eyed kid anymore.

i am an adult who was brought to the US at a young age by my parrents and the broken immigration system is keeping me from reaching my goals.

dreams turn into goals as we age, maybe we should be called the GOALERS.

but i dont know i think we should be referred to as adults who are VICTIMS of the immigration system, actual human ADULTS who are stuck in limbo unable to progress with their lives because of the current US immigration system, because of racists in the USA who hold power.

can you imagine some US citizen being stuck in some other country and not being able to do anything about their future? do people realize how fucked up our situation really is? can they imagine themselves in our position?

I think you are taking the term DREAMers too literally. DREAMers came from DREAM Act - as in the beneficiaries of the DREAM Act. Not that we spend our lives dreaming. Also the term began when a lot of us were younger - those in our early to mid thirties were in our early to mid-20s when we began using that term. I've always liked it, but I do understand the point you are making.

I think Dreamers is the right term. It started with the DREAM Act, and it represents the fact that we are seeking the American Dream. To Americans that dream is to be rich and successful. To us, is just to have
the ability to seek the American Dream.

And as far as explaining who we are, I think the media does that every time they mention Dreamers. It always comes right after the word in any article or broadcast. "Dreamers, who are children brought here at a young age.. etc etc."

Trump wants to end the term Dreamers bc he realizes how important "Slogans" are. He built an empire on it. Selling his name so people think the hotels they were going to were fancy. He knows "Dreamers" is making Americans sympathize. So yea, his intentions are just as bad as his policies are.

The real issue is why the fuck are we questioning whether we should be called dreamers or not. Pleeeease stop listening to fukin Donald.
