No one is saying he’s going to deport all 11 million, so relax. No president would ever be able to do such a thing no matter what they do or say. But the fact is that a good portion of the undocumented population will get deported and that is the inevitable. Obama deported about 2.5 million and he was supposed to be our “friend” and now Trump is taking it even further so you can expect those numbers to go up.

If you have that, you cannot afford to lose the ability to work. So no, "include everyone or no deal" does not work for some of us.

A compromise is needed and a compromise will have to happen if we want to be in a better position to help our parents, whether they remain in the US or return to their home countries.
I have everything you listed above: 6 figures, mortgages, car, and businesses but it not worth getting green card at the expense of getting my parents deported. You think you're in better position to take care of your parents when they are a continent away? When they get old, they are going to need care and that requires your time. If they get deported back then the only time you'll see them are vacations, when their sick, or when its time for their funeral.

I'll be okay with giving him his wall as long as the funds aren't used for interior enforcement, limit chain migration to us, and lower the visa numbers for citizenship and work permit protection for parents. Other than that I'm okay with waiting for a fair deal.

So what happens when no deal gets done and you lose your 6 figures, cars, mortgages and businesses because you lost your status?

What happens when you’re parents get old and sick and you can’t afford to give them right care because you have lost your status and everything financially?

What happens when they pass away and you cant give them a decent funeral because again you have no job and lost your status?

What happens when you lose your status and you and you’re parents get exposed for deportation and get deported to a country that you can’t make a living off financially?

These are questions you need to ask yourself too. At the end of the day I hope we get a deal with the wall and border enforcement. Although interior enforcements are already happening we do not need them on steroids unless it comes in a bigger package as comprehensive immigration reform.

Guys, don't get carry away by what you might or might not believe to be a fair deal - all of us have very different situations here. So before you start attacking other viewpoint, keep that in mind.

For me, I can only speak for myself. My parents worked like horses to put me through college and they are too old/illto work anymore. I'm the primary bread earner in the family, making enough money for everyone because I can have a legal job through DACA. While some of us are perfectly fine without a deal for a year or two or three, if I loose status - I will lose my career and can probably make 1/10 as much as what Im making today. What I've also learned is that having even 1 person in the family to be legal is an enormous help (unless you live in a 99% undocumented district where you can get every without a status).

I'm not here to question why some of you feel like it is completely okay if no deal is done - maybe it won't affect you as much. I'm just here to offer a perspective for those who are trying to dismiss other people's hardships when they want to see a deal. Again, sometimes when lives are stake, we can't afford to WAIT FOR A BETTER DEAL because there always will be a better deal.

I honestly never thought I would have DACA for this long. I thought it was a 2 year deal and done, so I always planned for returning to the shadows if need be. The base of the 6 figure income comes from my professional job and supplemental income from being a real estate agent. If DACA ends and I can't tap into that source of income then I just have to tap into other sources. Even without DACA, I can run the businesses I started with partners this year. Might be starting over from scratch and there is risk but I'm confident I'll be back at 6 figures in a few years. I have about 2 more years to wait until my brother graduates and then maybe I'll immigrate to another english speaking country like Canada and get citizenship there through work or investor visa as a back up if things doesn't happen in our favor here. Regardless, I'm confident I'll have money to support my family.

We have the option of another renewal right now so I don't know why everyone jumping at every deal that comes through.

Am I the only one who has younger siblings that are USC and can petition our parents? If we cannot petition them once we become USC (which wont be until 10 years later anyway) our younger siblings will be 21 by this time and they would be able to petition them right? That route is perhaps faster for them anyway since we have to wait 10 - 12 years anyway...
