Yes right now they might not have our best interest in mind but they did put us on the map. Now don’t get me wrong, I am not defending any of their current actions regarding this issue, I’m simply stating they are the lesser evil when it comes to immigration.
Why did they give us DACA? To buy latino votes in 2012. Obama used us to win a second term. He dgaf about us. Why didn’t he include aged out dreamers or make it a 5 year renewable permit? He put us on a tight leash so that Dems could use the issue to get Hillary in too. It didn’t work, elections have consequences.

Trump won the immigration debate when he offered us citizenship. I don't think anyone expected a citizenship offer for 1.8 million. Regardless of who you blame for our current situation, Trump won the immigration debate. He made the magnanimous offer. Dems are now seen as having rejected the big citizenship offer. Dems have no balls to use any leverage they might have, and they just voted against our only hope of survival. I hate Trump as much as your average human being, but he DID make us the best real offer we have ever received from any party. Democrats, who were supposed to have our back, rejected the best offer we have ever had. Now we are all screwed. As much as I hate Trump, he fucking offered us citizenship and the spineless democrats rejected it. Now I hate everyone, but I blame the democrats more this time.

The shutdown was just for show like Pelosi’s 8 hour speech. They did it to help themselves. They don’t care about us unless it helps them politically.

Uscis has been tweeting inappropriately political statements about working with Ice and buy America first while this is an agency that is self-funded through the millions in processing fees that undocumented people pay through Daca, TPS, Vawa, etc.

And they spin deportations, most of whom yank long-time undocumented residents without criminal records as keeping the country safe. '
We deported a murderer' ' We deport rapists'. 8/10 removals have clran records. They deport moms, aged out Dreamers, 10 year olds, dads, teachers, doctors.
The issue now is Democrats have to protect as many undocumented as possible since all have lost protection: People under prosecutorial discretion, Daca, Tps, refugees, asylees.

Attach Dream Act to the omnibus.

Of course. I am a total moron.

1) He was the majority whip back then. 2) The democrats were in control of the senate back in 2010, with 59 senators. 3) 2 republican senators voted yes for cloture on the Dream Act, namely Collins and Murkowski. 4) Mancin did not vote and Tester voted No. There were 4 other democratic senators that voted no, who are no longer in the Senate.

As a majority whip, he should have been able to get the Dream Act, which was and is his biggest legislative goal, over the threshold and he failed miserably. And he will fail over and over and over again. He should have resigned back then. End of story.

I am only thankful to president Obama, whom actually did something for us. Talking about us for decades with no real action is irrelevant.

If they are so horrible as you say they are, then why did you apply for it? why are you getting all the benefits it provides? Obama was already pushing it with DACA alone but you somehow expected him to give you a DACA on steroids? You’re trying so hard to sound like a victim here yet you are BENEFITING from it, makes no sense.

Did you forget he also try to give you a 3 year permit and try to include our parents as well but instead got blocked by a judge because of a REPUBLICAN lawsuit?
