Dem leaders in #WhiteHouse driveway: `They couldn't give us one answer why they wouldn't support' plan to bring up 4 bills approved on #Senate floor and others in committee to fund government, #Schumer said of #GOP. #Pelosi said bills will be put to a vote in #House tomorrow.

Correct me if I'm wrong none of those plans addresses Dreamers. Anything that does not support Dreamers should be a nonstarter!

They want to fund the rest of the government until September 2019 except DHS. They want to fund DHS until February 8th. Pelosi said that was agreed upon before by the Senate. She said that would give us around 30 days to NEGOTIATE a deal... Those are her exact words...

My analysis of the meeting:

1) Because of all this DACA talk and a deal, it reduces the chance of SCOTUS taking up the DACA legal case. They have been dodging this problem for a long time and since there's talk about a deal, they can use this excuse to not take it up once again.

2) If Schumer brought up the 2013 immigration package, he's probably trying to negotiate like Trump. Ask for a lot of stuff first then "compromise" and go back down. If so, bridge act becomes less of a possibility.

3) Democrats are most likely going to push for a good immigration package on Friday as they'll have leverage on Jan 4th because they control the house.

Let's wait and see.

I honestly don't mind more meetings as long as some USA Act deal is out. God. They better throw the BITCH Act out the door first. But I feel there is a slim chance... a very slim chance.

The shutdown won't last more than a week or two. The problem is DHS is not funded right now, which makes the border less secure. This is happening right now. You can't say that you want to protect the border but not fund the DHS.

#DACA Litigation Update - seems that SCOTUS will conference the DACA case(s) on the 11th. This means likely the morning of Jan 14th SCOTUSBlog will update us with an order list to see if 4 Justices agreed to grant Admin's petition to expedite Dreamers losing protections. Renew!

Only 4 Justices are needed

Kavanaugh

Gorsuch

Alito

Thomas

These Justices will agree for sure.
