No news from #SCOTUS today on #DACA. That makes it very unlikely that the High Court could hear the DACA cases in this current term. The next time the Supreme Court could consider whether to hear any of the cases is Feb. 15.

But most likely will be next term

Maybe it is impossible for this term.

BREAKING - SCOTUS DECLINES to take up DACA case this term. They could in the future but this is a huge repudiation of the Trump administration’s efforts to force the court to do their dirty work on DACA on an expedited, political timeline.

As has been said before, most of us expire in March 2020. If we renew then, that gives us through early 2022.

If the BRIDGE Act is approved this month, the permit would give everyone work through early 2022.

Both the same, so the BRIDGE Act really adds nothing.

I don't see this admin giving out "amnesty" (i.e. path to citizenship).

Possibly renewable DACA. The sticking points would be with/without AP, with/without aged out DREAMERs, and with/without poison pills.

Trump wont get his wall so if he really wants his wall this year he is going to have to give something bigger.

Exactly. But this once again highlights why the Dems must push for a permanent solution.

I was going to submit mine this week, but I'll probably wait now until at least September/October and send it then.

Working understanding is that if the next time #SCOTUS reviews the Trump #DACA petition is not until 2/15, that even if they decide to take the case then there isn’t enough time for it to be briefed/heard this term, & would move to fall. For #DACA recipients, every month matters.
