If I got the alert on Friday that it's been produced and mailed out is it safe to say that it was shipped out that day ?

My manager is trying to save my job since tomorrow is my last day to submit but HR is being hard to understand that the card is on its way

I download the USPS that alerts you if you have packages being sent but it says nothing is programmed so I don't know :-/

It's coming tho, just might be too late for me

I'm sure you will be just fine. But just for conversation purpose, it would be absolutely illegal and unfair for them to fire you now because AS OF THIS MOMENT, you are authorized to work. Just let this sink in for a moment. Send them that proof that you have been renewed and tell them you are authorized to work. Tell that to your manager and be assertive. Think logically. The date on the ead will be before the date you get fired. You can definitely sue them for that. Just politely explain this to them if you get pressured next week and threaten a lawsuit.

In the past month, I've reached depths in my sadness that I haven't reached since before DACA. I forgot what it was like to have those feelings, and I know why I forgot them in the first place.

I want to be strong and rise above the pain, but I hate waking up in the morning knowing that it's going to be the same shit again, and again, and again. Each day, there are less and less reasons for me to "keep my head up" or continue hoping that things will get better. I don't know how you all do it.

Aw :-/

It sucks, I've had major anxiety since this all started happening. The idea of having to find a new job and starting all over is too much. I'm finally getting my card this week but today was the last day to submit. I'll find out in a few hrs if HR is willing to give me an even more extension since my 30 days are up today.

Either way, I have to pick myself up. Its going to suck but can't let this completely defeat us. Sure I'll be upset, maybe cry a bit but I hope things work out for all of us

I'm so sorry you feel that way. I can tell how defeated you feel just by seeing your responses and I truly understand. What's kept me going and laughing and moving is my faith. And I know we might not share that or a lot of people might not cling on to that to get through times like these but that's honestly what's saving me. I've truly broken down to the point of tears and just letting it all go and forward on its own. But I'm okay and you will be too.

You can let your troubles out here if you feel that no one in your life may understand. A lot of us are here at the same position as you and a lot are in far worse positions. If anything we can laugh at our situation together, we can be angry at our situation together, we can share resources during this time. Don't think there will be a day that you cannot "rise above the pain" because so far you've been doing it and you're stronger because of it. It sucks, it does. We get sad and mad and anxious but at least we have something to look forward to. That's the main thing; we know it's coming. We just need strength in waiting. "Be still and know."
