Probably not, AIT is your best chance. and it depends on which bct post youre going. I know sill still got the local office running unlike Jackson. I was down at Jackson few weeks ago for range training and they were gone.

Return email, I emailed the hotline first. I am hoping I don't have to re-do my interview since I passed it already and just send me straight to Oath taking.. Crossing my fingers!

Just got the call today, BCT for March 19th, but I have to go back to MEPS to renegotiate. Funnily enough I saw this ship date on futuresoldiers.com site before my recruiter called me, so if your date was blank and changed suddenly it seems like a good way to gauge what's at least the tentative date.

Question to those that renegotiated: were you able to pick a new MOS? Or is this just a means to reset the clock on the contract?

Not a lot of head time... this is concerning to me but good luck and congrats!

Agreed on the short notice, it may fuck up things at work so hoping for at least something 90 days out.

Yup, any advise on how to give notice to employers (not resignation)?

Well if it's a big enough company there's a federal law that protects you and they can't legally fire you for anything military related. The thing is as you know it'll still create animosity with your management and such... my game plan is not saying shit until I have the date and going to deflect full blame i.e. "they literally just told me" - only because I did let them know in advance of a potential military leave, in 2017 though lol.

Thanks, and yes I wish I had more of a heads up but I did let me current employer know that I had enlisted and they're military friendly, I spoke with HR ahead of time and all I really have to do is check off the days I'll be gone on a calendar and I'll keep my job.

Once I'm back from MEPS I'll post here to let you guys know if they allowed me or not to get a new MOS.
