Listen, I am all up for uniting and fighting for a common cause. I totally am with you here. But unification doesn't start until we start to understand where their views come from and what diversification of action they have done to promote a CIR.

Whats wrong? Having a hard time falling as sleep? I really thought my posts would be boring you enough to make you fall asleep. Here I was thinking, "Man that Everything'sGood poster is probably having the best sleep ever"

Can't sleep or something?

Its their methods and how they represent us, because one bad dreamer is the republican argument for all bad dreamers.

Now if a dreamer stabbed a republican for disagreeing with us and claimed they did it to draw attention to CIR, would you support it? By your reasoning you would. So its not as simple as let's support anything people do to promote our cause. (eg. Hispanic flags at gatherings)

Just saying I don't agree, I won't support them, and I don't want them to represent us. That doesn't mean I want them to be deported, but I don't want them to get asylum because I feel like that would hurt us all while benefiting a few, which I see as selfish.

Stop the exaggeration - these individuals planned to gain readmission to the U.S. under legal guidance, and they achieved it. Nothing more, nothing less.

Yes, they did. Their goal was to be back in U.S. soil and that was their intention. And here they are.

it was never for selfish reasons. Imagine if they weren't allowed back in. The whole point of this movement is to show how with pressure from the community sometimes we can make a difference without having to wait on congress. I don't know if you guys know that one of their main platforms is fight deportations. You say impossible?? No not really. The Morton Memo was issued stating that low priority undocumented folks would not be a priority and it prosecutorial discretion. Basically most honest working law abiding folks should not be getting deported. But they are. The detention centers are full of people who have no criminal records and their only mishap is driving without a license. Now according to the Morton Memo, ICE should release them. But they don't because its only a memo, not a law. And all they want is to deport them all. So what does the NIYA and many other organizations do. They fight these deportations. We make them public and gain the support of the community. We call legistlators and ICE, over and over. We show them the support of community. We make the cases public of people who do not deserve to be there and should be released. And this has proven to be very very effective. I cannot tell you the number of deportaions that have been stopped. Now I am not saying it brings an end to all the problems. Sometimes its still an uphill battle. But we buy them time. Time out of these centers with their families. So yes I will stand by the DREAM 9. They did nothing illegal. Everything they did was backed several lawyers and legislators. They challenged the system. It takes an average of 6 months to get a "credible fear" hearing, they got them in a week. Most people have to wait for months if not years for their asylum applications to be reviewed. They were released. They have years to wait for the asylum hearings, in the mean time they will organize and hope in the passing of a CIR that will help most of us!!!

see now you are just taking small parts of success and clinging on to them. Best of luck to these brake heroes who risked their lives for a CIR
