Chyno is the second coming of Nostradamus. He was a Trump supporter throughout the last couple months of the Election. Very very anti Hillary. He predicted Trump would not repeal DACA. Many said he was crazy and that Trump would repeal DACA on the first day.

He is a smart dude and even though I do not align with his views on Trump. I give him credit for defending his position.

LA Times is a bit odd. Sometimes I hear pieces that don't make sense.

I honestly do not trust the LA times. Specially when the article comes as the president made his non announcement.

I would not worry about the that article..Yes, Miller hates us. He would fucking execute dreamers if he could. Trump has signaled softening on the issue. It seems he wants to do the right thing.

Ice is ruthless right now and even so they are going about their business around dreamers. Many cases where they are caught result in their release.

I believe the policy will be to work with Congress.

Best thing is to go about our lives... Be thankful that we have DACA today and be prepared for the worst just in case.

In my opinion, keeping DACA gives the administration far more leverage in deporting all other undocumented immigrants.

Now they are going after our parents and it sucks. But they can't be attacked by the far left because they are not targeting innocent people.

If dreamers are targeted, it would not be as easy as deporting us. The justice system would delay things a lot and bad publicity would rile people up. Bigly.

I was actually thinking the same thing about Hillary. She obviously would have kept DACA but with no long term solution because the Republicans would HAVE (It's NOT "would of" kids) blocked her with everything. If Trump gets a long term solution for DACA to advance his anti-immigrant agenda, man would that be ironic.

I think we are covered.

Publicly announcing to work with a sizable Republican majority means that it is highly feasible to accomplish. This could ironically be a political victory for him.

I can read the headlines if it was to happen
Headlines: Trump brings together Republicans and Democrats to finally solve an important issue.

It is undeniable that we have a better chance of legal status under Trump than we would have under Hillary. Hope you guys can wrap your minds around it.

I do not think anyone dispute that.

Oh him. It wasn't much of a prediction. Trump vacillated on the question consistently and throughout his campaign. As such, reasonable objections advanced, by myself at any rate, was that a Democratic administration would more likely lead to a more favorable outcome in terms of immigration policy.

The minimum baseline would have been DACA, guaranteed, not as now, where it has become an aspirational ideal, dubiously positioned. Besides, its a political layup to do so, and as you have point out, a way to leverage more concessions on immigration.

I do not think Chyo should have been banned.

Clinton administration would have lead to a 5-4 court and therefore DAPA. To expect any thing comparable under the current administration is highly implausible. The Republican Caucus has no desire for anything that isn't enforcement only, as evident from RAISE act and others. Bridge Act is basically DACA (for now, before it going though amendments and reconciliation), which is likely to be mingled with other regressive measures.

But I am not deranged to Trump. I devoutly wish that I am wrong, and something is passed. Policy is what matter at the end, not rhetoric, and credit to does who pass it, no matter their political affiliation.
