just read through it again,

for people who have a 2 year degree, military service, job they still need to wait out 10 years just to qualify for a permanent green card.

i feel im am being stifled with this bill because the degrees and job exp i earned during the 5 years i have DACA is null, why can't they just continue the 5 years of accomplishments we had during DACA count.

Yea I don't see why they shouldn't count our degrees and work exp while on DACA.

The good thing is this is just the starting point and there will be some negotiations.

Follow @gsiskind on Twitter right now. He's doing a summary of the bill and yeah it started out good as RACA or Dream Act but it has horrible poison pills/provisions.

I'm hoping if all fails, the BRIDGE Act can still save us in the short term sigh...

What this way better than the bridge act

Look guys, this bill sucks it really does. Let all the bad sink stuff of it to you

- waive your legal immigration rights : if for any reason you're deemed deportable there is no fighting. Under obama this would be more than fine but it's trumps America now

If you're willing to live in fear of being deportable for who knows what excuses for ten long years .

Now - will they really find any excuse to deport us? Who knows to be honest. But not being able to go see a judge and expedite removals should tell us something

This both allows them say that they gave us legislation, and allows for the "no fault of their own" narrative to end. We would now be making a choice, as adults, to be deportable for whatever reason, and nobody can even say anything about it because we will have known the risks. We lose whatever positive argument we were able to make about ourselves... My only hope is that this is just the beginning of the negotiations and it won't be supported as it is right now
