Before I do that, can you please show me where I said "the GOP has enough votes to pass the spending bill"?

I will be waiting.

this was 24 hours before the supposed meeting.

@Carrasquillo
Ahead of meeting with congressional leaders, @PressSec trots out new line: We hope Dems are not going to affect service members abroad by threatening to shutdown government over DREAMer protections in spending bill.

I never said you said it, I simply said that you "firmly believe" which is what your comments show. I'm not here to attack you, but you just need to calm down and trust the process. Reality is the GOP can't govern even with full control of Congress and the White House

You said that Trump doesnt want anything for us this year, that is what I refer to.

bro, that was the talking point the WH released before the meeting.

the WH Press Secretary literally speaks the agenda of the President.

and didn't he just confirm it with his latest North Korea Tweet?

After North Korea missile launch, it's more important than ever to fund our gov't & military! Dems shouldn't hold troop funding hostage for amnesty & illegal immigration. I ran on stopping illegal immigration and won big. They can't now threaten a shutdown to get their demands.

Okay I will re-phrase it.

Seriously, screw the pres sec. She stood behind Trumps far right anti-Muslim tweets by saying he wants to be strong on borders. LIKE W THE ACTUAL F?! They are all delusional.

Please stop feeding the Trump troll.

I would have backed out of the meeting too. Imagine you’re going into sensitive negotiations and before it even begins, the other party attending the negotiation attacks you and says that a deal is not even going to happen amongst other deragtory things. So what is the point of even negotiating at this point or going? You look weak going especially when you have leverage yourself. It’s all playing politics now. At the end, the Republicans are in charge of the whole government and they couldn’t even get get healthcare. Now it is taxes. And then the shutdown would be all on them as well. They are the ones who have to negotiate.

I see what you mean, I understand.

I was under the impression that Trump made a statement that he doesn't want anything to pass this year to help us out. I know this is impossible but if someone pulls out a DA 2.0 stand-a-lone out of their ass this week up for vote, I thought Trump would veto it because it was something for this year.

That is what your statement made it sound like. He just doesn't want anything in the spending bill, that is it. This is where you came to the conclusion that he doesnt want anything to pass for us this year.

Exactly.. he has 0 respect for the people who are actually able to make change. Just referring to Nancy and Chuck in “ “ is so disrespectful. I would throw him the middle finger too. Too bad he knows he needs “Chuck and Nancy” on his side...
