What a true warrior Durbin is.

He has been fighting this battle for 16 years.

22nd is our day or we might as well self deport.

Great speeches.

F*ck. I have never been so hopeful about this.

Was the momentum like this in 2010 or has this gained much more traction than it did 7 years ago? I know the political climate and certain circumstances are different, I just don't want us to be hung up to dry last minute like in 2010.

Difference here is we didn't have DACA in 2010.

It was nothing like this back then. We were just a few faces to the cause. But since DACA, because of the ability to come out the shadows and feel somewhat safe from deportation, a lot of us have come out to our friends and family. Support has poured in from all sides. Many of us have told our stories now and there is no way we can go back in the shadows because the general public now knows we exist and what we really are.

Watching now... Senator E. Warren is on now. I predict she will tear the Republicans a new one, as per usual.

nobody really knew who we were 7 yrs ago.

now they realize, Dreamers are their friends, classmates, co-workers, teachers, husbands, spouses, etc

thats why nearly 3/4 of Americans support us.

I will send Durbin flowers and a thank you card the day after the Orange man signs the bill.

There is a stark difference. Politicians are more than willing to withhold from people, they however are very reluctant to take something away.

See Obama care: they won't repeal it because it removes an entitlement.
With DACA we were 'given' temporary status. If we were out of status right now, they wouldn't talk about it. Since we have something right now, they are talking about preserving it.
