ditto to that! as Eren Jaeger put it; "i will continue to move forward until i wipe out the enemy" by voting in this case and influencing others to vote against democrats and republicans.

except for durbin, he's a good guy, other good guys too of course.

at the end of day, its all about votes.

CHIP, CSR payments, hell even Puerto Rico aid benefits American citizens.

they wont be gaining our votes now even if they pass the Dream act, they have to wait 10-15 yrs.

it is what it is.

I don't lol. AI is dangerous for society as a whole. FYI AI would never shut down the government for us.

There are a lot of benefits of having AI. One of them is it can't be bribed with money.

& It would def legalize us if you think about the benefits we'll provide. Economically speaking it would be foolish to deport 2+ million young people especially now with all the baby boomers retiring.

January is not that bad for us provided that they only do a CR this Friday. If the government is not funded via a long-term deal, they retain their leverage and just push the fight until January. So... January 19th becomes the new Dec 22nd, which used to be Dec 8th. Basically, they kick the can (aka our lives and mental health) down the road again and again and again.
In the end, even if you exclude DACA from the conversation, Republicans will need Democratic votes if they cannot pass the budget bill in the House and Senate, the House being the more interesting roadblock as of today. If they don't have the votes in the House (thanks to Collins' Obamacare subsidies amendment and the request for hurricane relief funding which is enraging the freedom caucus), then they will have to go to the Democrats for votes. That's when they should ask for the Dream Act in return. They won't commit to shutting down the government for us, but they can ask for the Dream Act in return for votes to have the bill clear the house. I hope that's the strategy at least. Hell, we should contact Freedom caucus members and ask that they block the CR at all costs. Divide the republicans and conquer because focusing on getting the Dems to stick their necks out for us is useless.

This is a very smart synopsis !! You totally get it! Let’s stay strong and keep the pressure on the democrats.

Btw they already took the relief money out of the spending deal. The house will pass a clean CR, but what comes back from the senate will not be anything republicans can all agree to.
