thats the thing though, there would be no urgency of action if Hillary was president because i would feel "SAFE"

not just on the DACA issue, even for muslim ban, womens rights, gay rights, children separated at the border, etc.

people needed to be woken up from apathy and mobilize because Trump is doing all this shit.

with Trump as POTUS it lit up this country to go out and RESIST. we need events like these to shake us out of apathy.
I hate to break to it to you, but if you sitting on your ass while daca is available to you, then it don't matter where you end up. You'll still be sitting on your ass. js.

wrong.

as a DACA beneficiary, i've graduated w/ multiple advanced degrees, been paying taxes and contribute to social security which we will not benefit from in the future here unless we get legalized. at some point, you gotta look at it as a career move for your future.

idk what your definition of sitting on your ass means to you. but i think you are mistaken thinking im a homeless bum "sitting on my ass."

So what? You could do it on your own timeline and get the hell out of the US under a timeframe that is more flexible. You saying you needed Trump as your motivator to get your shit together reflects more on your our own person more than anything.

you could say the same for the people mobilizing to the stop the separation of children at the border now? they werent doing at a time when it was "FLEXIBLE."

and thats nice how youd accuse me how to get my shit together and how to plan my life out, has it ever dawned on you that i wouldnt have qualified for Express Entry back then, when it was more "flexible"?

do you think MLK marched for Civil rights because it was FLEXIBLE at the time? do you think Obama ran for POTUS cause it was a good time? no it wasnt, we were in a great recession.

good god man.

I didn’t vote. I’m not a citizen. If I was, I would’ve voted for Clinton over Trump. But I also wouldn’t blame Sanders for Hillary’s loss. People who blame him are attempting to make excuses for her shittiness as a candidate and the shittiness of the whole Democratic establishment.

The liberal version of the tea party is coming. This moderate cucks better watch out. There are new rules for democrats.

how come they didnt stop it when it was happening during the past administrations?
Yup. Most people are fools and just swim in a large school of like-minded fish. In a week or two, there will be another hot topic issue and people will forget about the parent-child separation issue and jump on a new bandwagon of controversy.

Let me make something very clear... Saying Trump is good for our cause because he will force action (especially after all the failures of congress up to this point) is fallacious on its face. Period.
Trump doesn't give a shit about us and nor does congress. It's a miracle we got DACA in the first place and its going to take an even bigger miracle to get sensible legislative relief... and it sure as fuck is not going to come any time soon.

i never said he was good for our cause. i just said i wouldve preferred Bernie or Trump because it would shake people out of apathy.

he's just a vessel that woke people up and sometimes we need events like those to light the fire up our asses.

if i couldve voted, i wouldve voted Hillary over Trump, but i wont be enthusiastic or proud about it.
