I'm gonna disagree with you there, you realize he's going on extended leave, not quitting the job. I work for a major corporation also, you should give them the notice as soon as you have the actual ship date. Actual ship date is reliable this time around as plenty are shipping out (unless you have a med issue)

No one with half a brain is going to believe that you received a ship date 2 days away, they can't fire you for military leave but trust me they can find other reasons / create animosity in the future.

I was lucky to have a ship date about 45 days away, they weren't thrilled but it gave them plenty of time to move things around while I'm gone.

At this point hope that it's August or later, although you may get something for April or May... I know that the minimum time they give is 3 weeks out, so it won't be sooner than that if that makes a difference.

Thanks all, this is a fortune500 company and my manager and his manager and his manager's manager has always been excellent to me. My manager's manager is actually a retired Major.

That being said, I just sent a meeting invite for 'military leave discussion' wish me luck bros. I hope this ends well.

Shipping in 10+ days bruhs - Hold me tight and never let go...

N400 is still pending as DOD has not send the results to USCIS after 2 + months -- unacceptable.

Are you taking your birth certificate from your country of birth? If so, is it translated?
I heard mixed things about needing to bring it translated or not... I have it, but not translated.

Also, anyone know if it's going to take a long time to get naturalized after basic?

They left your file to collect dust bruh. What I found out was that most USCIS officers had no idea how to deal with MAVNI and they just leave it until each deadline comes up.

Good luck at bct btw!!! I heard they changed things up for new recruits.
