For some reason I can't update it thru my phone so if anyone can this is my timeline
Application sent :May 9
Both received: May 12
Bios completed: June 10
Expired: October 5
DACA approved: October 11

Also i never got a text or emai notifying me. I only called them once and emailed them twice thru ELIS.

I sent my application to the Chicago Lockbox which is where they forward to the service centers once they receive it. I'm not from Texas, I'm in Washington state. My service center should be Nebraska I believe.

So today I went to my immigration appointment, and the officer told me that there is a hold up on my background check. So I called the customer service and the lady couldn't help me as for to let me know what was the hold up. She did advised me though that I could request a Extension on my employment authorization since I applied for me renewal within my 120 days before expiring.
Has anyone else heard about it? I just don't want to go back to immigration tomorrow if this is not accurate.

I called USCIS numerous times and requested for an extension for my EAD card and every time the customer representative said there is no such thing for DACA cases. But maybe things changed?

I have an appointment with an immigration officer tomorrow (Infopass) so I will ask the officer about this and hopefully there is an extension!

So after talking to another T1 rep, she let me know that I had a block due to the background check. I know many of you have experienced this, any tips on this particular issue?

I have an infopass on 10/19. PLEASE keep us posted! This wait is agonizing.

I had my senator inquire about my case and this is the message she received back from USCIS..."USCIS electronic records confirm that your constituent’s DACA renewal case is pending background check clearance. USCIS is committed to adjudicating these cases in a timely manner while also ensuring public safety and national security. A small percentage of cases have unresolved background check issues that temporarily delay adjudication. Although USCIS makes every effort to resolve such cases promptly, USCIS is unable to speculate when the background check will be completed"
The senator told me three weeks ago that I have passed the background check and my case is with an immigration officer now but there is no news on my case. So it seems that even when you pass background check, there is still a waiting period before getting approved...
