So I will be going to Ft. Jackson for my basic, which unfortunately is one of the 3 locations where they recently closed USCIS service centers. How does this impact our naturalization during basic, if at all?

If you are going the end of this Month, I will see you there.

I am assuming you are reserve - if your MSSDs are cleared and still didn't get an interview or oath-taking, you are in the same boat as I am, I heard we'll be hold-overs but I seriously doubt it.

Most of the people in the MAVNI page are dumb as a rock and repubs.

Yeah we are in the same boat. I also found those mavni pages to be quite unhelpful for the reasons you've described above.

If you are reserve yes, my unit buddy got BAH by showing a lease agreement. I'll take that extra 2k for inconvenience. Can't believe I signed up for this bs lol

Another good case recently decided. A court ordered the military to treat MAVNI recruits the same as US citizens when it comes to issuing security clearances -

Yup, thanks for pointing that out Swim. I urge all my MAVNI/DACA peers (if you want to make the military your career) to become an Army Officer. Personally, I used to dream about being one but I am now focused on my civilian life.
