I will admit I did it for the citizenship. I hate how some MAVNI ridicule people who went in just for the citizenship. Like ok, you know your ssbi agent is not snooping your facebook comments right? stop the pretentiousness. I love the program. It gave me everything ive ever wanted. My mum and dad got their paper soon after I got my citizenship through my sponsorship. Now I'm on a full ride scholarship attending an top uni, already travelled to 3 countries since I got my blue passport and bought a house near my school. I love love the program. Its shitty that they are treating some of us like second-class citizen, but I honestly dont care. Im already halfway through my contract and im not making this my career so who cares if I can get commision or not. Zero hate here, just the usual salty soldier attitude.

My SSBI agent told me there are still a lot of mavnis just starting their SSBI. She said SSBI result should be completed in 3 to 6 months, but who knows...

Mother effin' beautiful. Couldn't have said it better.

Lmao at some of the FOB Indians (no hate to DAP Indians) who came here 3-4 years ago that barely speaks English, and are all of a sudden 'Muricans'!' extreme right leaning Trump supporters. Hooah-ing like penguins, gtfo, we're all in it for citizenship - you'd be stupid if you say otherwise. I don't plan to make this welfare group a career. I have my own career that will be put on hold because of this BS.

In simpler words, I love it but I hate it.

Maybe I will love it more when I become a citizen.

We'll see.

I especially love the ones with thick accents, "thank-cue and gum again!" rofl. Go tell them to work at 7/11. My interactions with Non-DACA MAVNI's have been fairly pleasant though. I dunno, maybe they can sense that I'm a bit of an asshole lol

That was really beautiful to read! I am happy for you bro! We will climb our way into upper-middle class in no time.

Ok since I only have a week left before I go I need to clarify a few things...

What type of underwear to bring (I don't mind being naked if those f tards don't want the color of my underwear)?

Direct Deposit Form?? What the heck is that? Since I've been drilling and getting paid by my unit since 2016, should that still be in their system?

Answers Please! LostG you are currently the MAVNI SME here.

Wear what you want and bring one extra set of civilian underwear and other clothes. You wont need them until AIT. You are not allowed to wear regular underwear during basic. I find the standard army issued tighties too uncomfortable so I shelled out money and bought couple of those army boxers at the exchange(make sure you get the right color).

You do not need to do another direct deposit form, since youre in the system already. However, I would bring a empty check and $50 cash with you in person.

BTW cough drop candies are the currency there. Cash wont do you any good there. its basically like prison. That is if you can get through search. Every chance you get at the shop you should buy these candies, so you can exchange for other goodies like favors or a back rub jk Just make sure you buy plenty of footcare items and tiger balms. You gonna need them.

Thank you sir - extremely helpful. Any recommendations on wallets? Should I bring my normal leather wallet, will they allow me to have credit cards (I currently have 6). I'd love to buy a memory foam mattress if allowed, heck I'd even buy a bed to make my stay comfy :P but I know that is not allowed.
