Question:

I have a job where they have been very supportive of my situation, and will give me a signing bonus when my delay gets resolved to make up for my pay checks lost. Will EAD approval suffice for them to be able to start paying me again, or do I need the physical card?

The only thing that I have left is to do the infopass, but considering everyone's stories here it's a waste of time. I've been distracting myself with video games and tv shows and going out, but I can't help but feel so stressed when I have time to think. I guess it was a wake up call that we were getting too comfortable.

The cases in front of me and behind me got approved. I don't know what I did wrong. *sigh* This is so frustrating. And, I know I'm going to be out a month even if does get approve right now. HR won't accept anything that is not a work permit.

This is my time line
Application received: 06/07/2016
Biometrics: 09/15/2016
Approval: TBD
Expires: 10/07/2016
As my expiration is closely approaching I realized I have gotten too comfortable as well. Sorry your HR won't accept anything other than the card. Hope you hear something soon but we're seeing some June applications being approved so keep your hopes up! Also just know that there are others in the same situation and living everyday feeling stressed, exhausted, and helpless. Not much that I can offer but hang in there!

That's really up to your employer. If they're okay with the DACA approval notice, which shows the dates, then that's fine. I would ask them about it and explain that the card can take few weeks to be produced when you get approved. I explained it to my employer and they were understanding and told me having the notice is fine as long as it has the dates on it.

So many people have had the same question for a while including me, and it totally depends on your employer.

My account just updated with the approval letter on ELIS and it states "This form does not constitute employment authorization, nor may it be used in place of an Employment Authorization Document" even though it also states the valid period which is the same on the EAD card. So technically i don't think the approval notice is enough but some employers are still accepting it.

I'm one of the unlucky ones that also needs to wait for the EAD card to arrive. Ask your HR department and hopefully they tell you otherwise.

People with cases from early june are getting approved. Mine is May 24th...still not news yet. I feel like I'm going crazy just refreshing the page and checking every 10 minutes.

so got an email from ELIS no reply address. EAD status has changed and shows my card is "in production".

One hurdle over, now the second hurdle to overcome.

Interestingly enough:
Old ELIS: no updates show on main screen, detail shows 821D approved
New ELIS: shows 821D approved, but no change on EAD, no update letters
Case Tracker: only EAD shows in production
Case Tracker log in: no text or emails from there, but EAD shows in production as well.

Not sure if this will be enough for my employer, but I'm going to email her all these (she said she would only need the approval notice to get me back to working regularly).
Kinda confused where you approved today? Right on the expiration date?
Congrats if so!

Thank you! I appreciate it!

I know everyone here is in the same boat as I am. It does make me feel better. I will get through this. We are dreamers. Life has never been easy for us, but we are tough.

To those still waiting, may I suggest watching Shameless on Netflix, there are 6 seasons and you'll likely take a few weeks to finish. Also, the gym! I find that the hours of 1:30 to 4pm are most peaceful. I suggest you call USCIS in the morning and speak to a T2 around noon so that by 130 you're hitting the gym and taking out all of your frustration. Think of all the money you'll save on pre-workout!

This has been my schedule thus far and I swear whenever I talk to a T2 rep I hit a new PR at the gym.

Guys I was just approved!!! A total of 120 days.

Here's what I did.
1) after my 105 day mark I called Custumer Service. T1

2) a week later I submitted an online inquiry

3) 3 days later I contact ILRC they can ask USCISto to review(elevate) your case. You have to qualify for this though check out
https://www.ilrc.org/elevating-delay...enewal-request

4) log in to ELIS and send them a message. Let them know your circumstance and include that your card expires soon.

I did this in a time frame if about 2 weeks.

Check your email constantly and specially SPAM sometimes uscis emails are sent there automatically by uiur email provider. . You will probably recieve an email before you are able to see it online.

This is my time line:

Received 6/15/2016
Biometrics completed on 7/22/2016
Approved 10/13/2016
EAD received. TBD
