"According to eVerify your constituent may present the I-797, Approval Notice for the I-765 to the employer after they have been hired and accepted a position with a company

The document is valid proof of authorization to work for 90 days while the card is in production. After the card is received, the employer may complete Section 2 of the I-9 and run the card in the eVerify system at that time. "

This is great news because I can not afford to wait another 20-30 days for my card to be mailed. Only problem is I don't have a I-797 notice of approval for my I-765 yet. All I have is the DACA approval letter on my ELIS account. Did any of you receive the I797 notice letter for your EAD? If so, how long after approval did you receive it? Customer service rep said wait 30 days for the approval letter which doesn't help.
The receipt is only valid for 90 days IF the card was lost, stolen, or damaged. Not expired.

The approval notice (I-797) that we get is for the I-821D. We don't get an approval notice for I-765. Can you follow up and ask if this also applies for I-821D and any link/document that specifies this so we can show to our employers?

Just got another email that my I-821D got approved. Updated timeline below.

Notice Date: 8/9/2016
Biometrics Scheduled: 9/21/2016, walked-in on 9/13/2016
I-765 approval/card production: 10/13/2016
I-821 approval: 10/16/2016
Expiration: 9/10/2016

oh yeah, I was working while I was waiting for approval. The HR told me that it is fine as long as the paperwork is submitted and it is processing.

Either way, I'm just glad their extreme screw up with hundreds of expired work permits will soon fix itself! I can finally get back to teaching my sixth graders!

My heart literally sank when I received that email. Funny thing is, I am waiting on a call back from USCIS since 11 this morning lol

In my case, I showed my employer the DACA approval notice and they did accept it, they told me that I had 90 days to bring my EAD card.

Hey guys! I was finally able to create an account, the image verifier wasn't loading on my computer for some reason. (Earl = earlgrey on the spreadsheet)

Congrats to everyone who was approved!! How long does it usually take to receive your card? I'm unfortunately still waiting and super agitated from this whole process. My timeline is as follows:

2nd Renewal
Receipt Date: 5/27
Bio: 8/25 (called multiple times to get a bio appointment, received a letter saying one wasn't needed and then 2 weeks later got a notice saying I had an appointment)
Expired: 9/25
Approved: Pending
Location: New York
No AP/criminal history just a couple of parking tickets and traffic violations
Infopass scheduled for 10/27
Elevated my case with ILRC (received confirmation last Friday) and notified my Congresswoman's office of my case (received response today).

I was terminated from my job but will be rehired once I receive my card. My HR was very specific in that I will not be able to work until I receive my card in hand.
Any tips or tricks to keep me sane? All I see is my bank account dwindling. I've been going to the gym so often the receptionist congratulated me and said how proud he was of me lol.

I'm waiting on them to get back to me. I remember during the first renewal I got a official approval letter for DACA as well as I-765. But I don't think they send those for EAD anymore. For the time being I'm going to try using the DACA approval letter but knowing my HR, they'll ask for a I-797 notice because that's what is supposedly acceptable according to USCIS. Can't win with these people!

Another update: so i got my call back from the tier 2 clown, and i ask about a tracking number since my EAD updated to produced and mail on the 16th. He says there is no tracking number and that it hasn't been mailed. So i confront him and asked him if the USCIS posted false information on my account and he refused to answer, at this point I'm furious, and he very rudely answers with, do you have another question? I kept pushing for an answer but he brushed it off. So now I'll be filing a nice complaint
