This is what I think is the truth, based on 2 SSN applications.
-Your application is processed and Initial Verification with SAVE is actually done 10 Days after your day of APPLICATION. Not the issue date.
Why do I say this, yesterday I got a PM from a fellow forum member who got accepted on 9/11 and applied for SSN 9/17, He got his number generated yesterday too. WOW SSA BIG COINCIDENCE??? Exactly 10 calendar days after for his application and mine.
SSA's POMS and all literature says that IV with SAVE is done 10 calendar days after your EAD is issued, but seems like SSA likes to lie and do whatever they feel like doing.
